You need to pay the correct fee in the local currency when applying for your passport.

Methods of payment
We can accept payments by cash in Mexican Pesos (MXN), cashier’s cheque, credit or debit card.

If you are paying by credit or debit card and sending your application by post
We accept Visa and Mastercard only.  Please complete the Payment Authorisation Slip and attach to your application

If you are paying by cashier’s cheque
You should make your cheque payable to ‘Embajada Británica’.  We can not accept personal cheques.

Emergency Passport

* We only issue emergency passports if other types of passport cannot be printed in time.


Additional fees
* There is a call out fee for issuing a temporary or emergency passport outside of office hours. You will need to add this fee to the cost of the passport.
